Dressed in forsaken fads
Layered in tones of beige, brown, black, and blue
I stare at a flickering screen
Filled with Kevins, Karens, and Kyles
Hitting backspace, delete, erase, and purge
Cancelling histories of contemptible captains
Who advanced losing battles
And sunken ships
While shouting slurs
And seizing shade
Jobs and dreams forever lost
In a desert called Destiny

Privately seeking public approval,
An introvert who talks endlessly
Teaching learning.
Fat fitness fanatic
Shuffling organized clutter
Trapped in the meandering mind
Conforming to opposition
That creates destruction
Of communal chaos.

Great alliteration in this poem.
Thank you.
