I’m Home Improvement Impaired

I love walking through home improvement centers. The smell of lumber. The paints. The lights. The tools. The atmosphere of remodeling or working on home repairs brings me joy. Unfortunately, my joy has caused more do-it-yourself failures than successes.

Failure, however, has never stopped me from trying. I am determined to transform my home from the suburban clone it currently is to a home with its own unique style and curb appeal.

Follow me as I hire the best around me to redesign the landscape, floor plan, and other aspects of my home into something that represents my values and style. I’m sure there will be some failures along the way, but, with professional help, I will have many more successes.

I tend to spend a lot of money on my classroom. It’s a bad habit I refuse to abandon, yet it dips into the funds that I could use for home improvement, travel, or, well, eating. If you appreciate my writing enough to donate a dollar, you would make my day. If you don’t donate money but continue visiting my blog, I will be nearly-equally happy.

A monthly donation would help me with my goal of buying every student a book to take home. My students would be happy, too. It’s your choice… no pressure.

Make a monthly donation

What could I do with a yearly donation? I could repair that leaky faucet. I could purchase some window shutters to increase the charm of my home. I could fill up the gas tank one extra time. No pressure, though.
