In blue seas,
where love used to flow
over coral reefs,
a life we used to know?
But we’re washed on the shore,
like battered castaways.
Our love is a dead fish, darlin’,
what more can I say?

Shifting tides,
happy songs are gone.
We’re sailing solo now
like worn, weathered driftwood
we’re so, so very lost
Yes, we’re washed out on the shore,
like battered castaways
Our love is a dead fish, darlin’,
what more can I say?

Love is a dead fish,
floating in foamy sea.
Once full of life,
now scattered debris
floating rough waters,
lost in endless blue,
Love is a dead fish, darlin’,
what’s left for us to do?

Commentary about dead fish

Hey everyone, I’ve been playing around with metaphors in my poetry, like in the piece you just read. Sometimes, instead of answering a question directly, I find it fun to throw in a metaphor that makes you think a bit. Or not.

It’s like handing you a puzzle where the pieces fit in more ways than one. Or not.

This approach keeps my response open, allowing for many interpretations. It’s all about giving you the space to explore different meanings and feelings. So, what did you see in the poem? I’m all ears!

I’ve done it again. I used my new favorite AI site to put my words to music. Some of you might know the website I am using, but I am going to not post the name yet; I want to experiment a little bit longer.
