“Swimming is the only sport where you go from point A to point A and still cover a lot of distance.”
— Unknown
I hope to hire professional voice actors for my videos.
The placid lap pool depths
release relief just beneath
water's surface
with each stroke
I lose myself
in the rhythmic slaps
of lap swimming
I glide through water
past twenty five yards
of azure-tiled canvas
breathing bubbles,
releasing stress
unwhispered secrets retreating
from daily burdens.
Pushing and pulling
through water
I am guided
by the metronome
in my mind
one, two, three, breathe
one, two, three, breathe
inhale, exhale,
inhale, exhale.
The pool mutes noises
and chaos of the streets
I immerse myself
deeper
beneath surface
silence and solitude
connecting mind, body, soul
in rhythmic bliss
Write What You Know
Choosing to write about swimming—an activity I deeply love—allows me to share a piece of my world with others. It not only lets me convey my passion but also helps others see the beauty and benefits of this sport. Writing about what you know brings a sense of authenticity and depth to your work, making it resonate more with readers.
Here are a few simple suggestions to help you write effectively about your passions:
- Start with Passion: Write about topics that excite you. Your enthusiasm will shine through your words and engage your readers.
- Share Personal Experiences: Relate personal stories or lessons learned. It adds authenticity and depth to your writing.
- Keep It Real: Use real-life examples to illustrate your points. This helps readers connect with your content on a practical level.
- Research to Enhance: Even if you’re an expert, a little research can add credibility and fresh angles to familiar topics.
- Simplify Complex Ideas: Break down complex information into simple, digestible pieces. Make your expertise accessible to all readers.
I’ve written about this topic before. Check out these poems:
