my mind wanders
past
the three miles
I ran
beyond
the forty laps
I swam
past
windows
separating
the wet
room
from
the weight
room
past
treadmills
beyond
monster trucks
outside
the gym
I focus
on the sign
in the northeast
corner
and think
“Would
a Heath Bar
Blizzard
cancel
my time
here?”
