at medium heat

Chop potatoes
carrots, celery, and onion
into bite-size bits

Stir occasionally

Let broth increase to intense boil
add chopped vegetables
and salt to savor

Keep stirring

Lower heat to light flame
cover with lid
let simmer and stew
