A landscape showing a transition from a stormy left side with dark clouds and lightning to a calm sunrise on the right, with a path leading from the storm to the tranquil sea under the sunrise.
From Chaos to Calm: A visual representation of moving from the turmoil of anger to the peace of a new dawn.

Why does serpent’s hiss,
Whispering wild rot,
Burn in your hearts,
Stirring
In bubbling, boiling cauldron?

Why do rustling leaves,
Blowing in evening breeze,
Conjure storms
Brewing
Through your breath?

Why does distant thunder,
Rumbling from afar,
Shake the ground beneath you,
Stirring
In your splintered soul?

Does sun’s warm hug
Not gently warm
Icy storms
Melting
Away the ice?

Why so angry, my friend,
When each day offers an end,
A chance for peace,
Becoming
Companion rather than angry shadow?

I really hate talking about myself, but if I have to... I’m K.L. McDaniel, the person behind TheOtherKLM. I’m an introvert with extrovert moments, a fitness-minded person fighting later-age fat, and someone trying to keep life somewhat organized without pretending it isn’t a mess. Here, I write about the things I keep coming back to: movement, mental health, learning, self-awareness, and the strange little contradictions that make people interesting. I’m not here to act like I have everything figured out. I’m here to think through it, laugh when possible, and maybe find a little balance in the middle of the clutter. So, that’s me. More or less.
