Don’t let his name fool you;
this little fighter roots in frost.
His purple petals, trimmed in yellow grit,
flash gold when courage flares.
He shrugs off snow like past regrets,
bending in wind but never breaking,
holding ground like stone in flood,
facing storms with uplifted face.
While others sleep, he dares to bloom,
rebelling quietly as ice slowly thaws,
outlasting blooms twice his size,
grinning through the cold with fiery eyes.
